DETERMINED TO BUILD

Key: vs. 1

INTRO: Solomon's trading, which we read of in the close of the foregoing chapter, and the encouragement he gave

both to merchandise and manufacturers, were very commendable. But building was the work he was designed for,

and to that business he is here applying himself. Here is: I. Solomon's determination to build the temple and a

royal palace, and his appointing labourers to be employed herein, 2Ch 2:1-2,17-18. II. His request to Huram king

of Tyre to furnish him both with artists and materials, 2Ch 2:3-10.

Hu'ram: The king of Tyre who sent workmen and materials to Jerusalem

We also should determine to build for God's glory. Building of a body of strong work force of believers,

knit together with one purpose and one coal in mind.

I. REALIZE OUR STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES

   A. Our strengths out weigh our weaknesses.

        1. Solomon determined or addressed himself to the work.

        2. He counted himself in to accomplishment the task unto completion!!!

   B. Solomon was appointed this work, even before he was born.

BASIC: We also have a appointed work to do for the LORD. We were also appointed work

before we were born !!! GO SHARE THE GOSPEL !!!

   C. God is on our side, we ARE TRIUMPHANT, right now!

       1. Ps 92:4 "For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands."

       2. 1Ch 28:20 "And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be

dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake

thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD."

       3. Isa 41:13 "For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee." The

LORD does not leave us to fight our own battles. He is present with us and He is fighting for us!

       4. Isa. 43:1 "Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine."

       5. Re 1:17 "And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me,

Fear not; I am the first and the last:"

   D. Our weaknesses are due to;

        1. Not trust the LORD in faith as we should.

        2. Fears < (things of this world) we allow to work us into a frenzy.

        3. Trying to resolve our own battles.

THESE 3 THINGS DO NOT SUBSTANTIATE FAITH !!!

(Do not prove Gods word, or show us putting our faith in the LORD).

II. THE LORD HAS GIVEN ALL HIS CHILDREN GIFTS vs. 7

A.      WE WILL BE BLESSED TO THE LORD, IF WE USE THE GIFFS WHICH THE LORD HAS GIVE TO
