MIRACLES IN THE GOSPEL OF JOHN

Miracle: a wonderful thing within God's perfect will is performed by the supernatural almighty hand of God!
Q.: does God perform miracles today? A.: most definitely.
Q.: is the gift of healing for today (faith healers)?
A.: no it was a temporary gift which Jesus' by his authority allowed the Disciples to perform but, It was only for that Isolated period of time.
Q.: what shall I do if a faith healer wants to heal someone I know?
A.: run ...get a way IT IS A HOAX, IT IS NOT OF GODI Money is the reason to fool people into their prearranged tactics.
STATEMENT: if per say: faith healers were real (which they are not) THEN WHY IS THERE A NEED FOR HOSPITALS? Today In our society many folks with the upraise of cancer happening very often than ever before we desire miracles of healing. Yes God does miracles! Today we must also be willing "to accept the fact either way God's perfect will" is His perfect will, He is the one who calls the shots. Healing God's may be that he removes the; pain, suffering, anguish, and medical procedures by taking the person into eternity. Some people God has to use extreme measures to break through to the person's heart and or maybe someone close to the person to SHOW THE ONE THEIR NEED TO RECEIVE JESUS AS SAVIOUR!

I. MIRACLE OF SALVATION, THE FIRST AND FOREMOST MIRACLE.
Jn. 3:3, 16 Salvation: Jesus died on the cross of Calvary for the redemption of our sins. He willingly suffered a horrible painful, excruciating death. With having His back shredded with the cat of nine tails whip, His face was unrecognizable after being punched repeatedly and slapped repeatedly, His beard was ripped from his face, He was embarrassed as His clothes were re-moved, the literal crown of thorns was driven down penetrating His skull, then He was nailed to the cross. Jesus after being dead three days was RESURRECTED back to life being victorious over dead. Romans 6:23 says; “the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus our LORD" God made available eternal life to whosoever will receive Him as Saviour!

SALVATION:
1A. a definite need for every person
  B. the ticket into heavens gates
  C. life,… life eternal
D. saving of the soul from hell
E. having citizenship in heaven
F. changing from being condemned to hell, to becoming a child of God
G. changing families from your father the devil, to The Heavenly Father
  H. bought with a great price
  I. God's purpose for Jesus to come to earth
  J. being redeemed from your sins and being bought by the shed blood of Jesus Christ
K. the only way to have a relationship with Jesus Christ
L. being brought from darkness, to light
M. the only way to have your name recorded in the Lamb's Book of Life.
N. a life changing experience
O. forgiveness of your sins and forgetfulness of your sins and being forever In the presence of God

II. MIRACLE OF CHANGING THE WATER INTO WINE.
Jn. 2:1-11
The first miracle recorded in Jesus’ earth ministry. This event occurred at a marriage feast at Cana of Galilee on the 3rd day of 8 days. Mary Jesus’ Mother was most likely close to the bri-degroom's family. She in faith tells the feast servants; “whatsoever he (Jesus) saith unto you do it." verse 5
The total quantity of water in the water pots approximately: 130 gallons the stone pots were meant to carry water to fill a bath tub.
1. Jesus said in Jn. 2:7 “fill the waterpots up to the brim" (full to the top).
1A. Jesus desires that we too are filled to the brim with using our abilities to the glory of
God. Do our best job possible to serve God!

JESUS CHANGED THE WATER INTO WINE AND IT TASTED THAT IT WAS BETTER THAN THE REST OF THE DRINK.
verse 10;" Drunk" not meaning that the people were intoxicated but being the past tense of drank or swallowed.
verse 11; (this is the beginning of the Jesus’ earthly miracles) "manifested forth his glory and his disciples believed on him"
God uses miracles to awaken folks so that unsaved may believe one him!

III. MIRACLE OF HEALING OF DISEASES

Jn. 6:2 “And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased."

IV. MIRACLE OF FEEDING OF 5000 PLUS PEOPLE.
With the men women and children = 15 to 18,000 people.
The eastern custom was all the men sat together and the women were permitted to sit with the little ones.
5 barley loaves = plenty for all the people and 12 baskets were left over.
2 small fishes
This miracle reveals that Jesus is the Messiah being the one who was long expected!
1. God can take a little and make a lot out of it.
Song - Little Is Much When God Is In It !!!!!!
1A. God can take a little faith and use us in a great WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ARE WE WILLING TO BE USED OF GOD?
V. MIRACLE OF HEALING OF A BLIND MAN.
Jn. 9:1-12
Was his blindness because of his sin, his parent’s sin?
No his blindness is not an effect of sin.
God allowed blindness to happen so that when Jesus healed the man, Jesus would be rec-ognized, glorified and that people would be drawn to him the Saviour of The world!

VI. MIRACLE OF LAZARUS RAISED FROM THE DEAD.
Jn. 11:1,7,11,17- 45

Lazarus was dead for 4 days. Jesus chose to not to bring him back from the dead right away.
1. Jesus stated as at first he was sick (verse 4)
"This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God that the Son of God might be glorified thereby."
1A. God uses death that He would be glorified when He would raise Lazarus.
God is in control. God has a reason for everything which He does. We may not always agree at the time but, it is our job to accept that He knows what is best for us.
2.A. Our timing may not be God's timing as he chose to not resurrect Lazarus when his sis ter's wanted him bring him back. As Martha had little faith (verses 24) READ
2.B. God sometimes causes things to happen to:
  A. see how that we would react?
  B. see if we are willing to follow him whole hearted?
  C. see if we really have
  serious faith in Him?
  D. see if we truly depend on Him first when tragedy? comes knocking on our door.
  E. see if we will increase our faith in him?
  3. Jesus loved Lazarus very much: READ verse 33. Verse 35 "Jesus wept"
Jesus’s love goes beyond our comprehension. He not only loved deeply for this family but, he loves you and your family just as much!!!!!!!!
  4. We should not put our limitations on the power of the God of this universe! God is not limited in any way!
Jesus does not raise people from the dead today not that he isn't able but, he chooses not to do so.
Death is a graduation if the person is saved! Heaven is a real place. We may think that we cannot go on if someone near and dear passes on but, we serve a great big wonderful God! We would not want the suffering to continue! Heaven is a wonderful place! God will take care of our loved one ....and it will not be long and we'll be there too!
Jesus resurrected Lazarus and the people went and told people what He had done; AND HE WAS GLORIFIED AND PEOPLE BELEIVED ON HIM!!!!!!!
TO MENTION A COUPLE MORE MIRACLES:
Jn. 5:1-16 MIRACLE a lame man who Jesus healed. Jn. 4:46 MIRACLE of Jesus healing a Nobleman's son. There are more MIRACLES in the book of John and other books in God's Word.
WHAT IS THE PREFACE OF A MIRACLE? GOD'S PERFECT WILL!
